Billing and message questions
What counts toward my message allowance?
Every text you send counts, and a long text can count as more than one. Only broadcasts and offers can be held back by the allowance; order texts, receipts, fulfilment texts, and inbox replies never are. Sign-in codes your customers receive do not count. The allowance resets each billing period.
What happens when I reach the cap?
A broadcast or offer that would go over what you have left is refused before it starts, so it never reaches half your list. Everything else keeps going. There are no overage charges and no top-ups — upgrade if you need more room.
What happens if my card fails or my subscription lapses?
If a payment fails, your account goes past due and everything keeps working while you update your card. If the subscription ends, your data is kept, but your public page goes offline unless a drop is still open (that drop runs to its close). Broadcasts, offers, and inbox sends stop, and you cannot create or edit drops or products until you resubscribe.
How do my customers pay me today?
Directly to you — Venmo, Zelle, cash, or whatever you arrange. You mark the order paid in your dashboard and a numbered receipt goes out automatically. Online card payments through Stripe are in development.
Can customers pay an invoice online?
Not yet. An invoice shows as awaiting payment until you mark it paid, which settles the order and sends a receipt.
Does BatchDrop take a commission?
Nothing on payments you collect yourself. Online card payments, when they launch, will carry a small per-transaction fee that we will publish before you can switch them on.
