SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated
BatchDrop lets independent stores text their own customers. These terms cover the messages sent through BatchDrop on a store's behalf.
Program description
When you join a store's list, that store can text you about its drops and offers — when a batch is opening, a one-off offer from the store, and the status of an order you placed, including receipts and invoices. Each store sends only to its own list. BatchDrop does not send you marketing of its own, and no store gets access to another store's subscribers.
How you opt in
You are only added to a store's broadcast list if you take one of these actions:
- Text JOIN to the store's number.
- Enter your number in the subscribe form on the store's page.
- Sign in to the store's page with your phone number to place an order.
- Reply YES to a store's request to confirm.
If a store adds you by hand or imports you from its own records, you are marked as not yet opted in and will receive no broadcasts until you confirm.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by store and by how often it runs drops. Stores typically send between one and four messages a month. Order-related messages are sent as needed in response to something you did.
Cost
BatchDrop does not charge you to receive messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. This takes effect immediately and applies to your phone number. You will remain a customer of the store, and your order history stays intact — you simply stop receiving messages.
To start again, reply START, YES, or UNSTOP, or text JOIN to the store's number.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any message, or email us at support@batchdrop.io. A member of the store's team or BatchDrop support will get back to you. For a question about a specific order, replying to the store's message reaches the store directly.
Carriers
Supported on major US carriers. Delivery is not guaranteed, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your phone number is used to deliver these messages and to sign you in. It is not sold or shared for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
For store owners
If you run a store on BatchDrop, you are responsible for only texting people who opted in with you, for honouring opt-outs, and for complying with the TCPA and the CTIA messaging principles. BatchDrop enforces the keyword handling and consent checks described above, but it cannot make an improperly built list compliant.
