Service businesses

Service sites & Today

Cleaners, tutors, and repair people do not run drops. Tell BatchDrop what you do, and it puts customers, follow-ups, and texts up front instead.

Tell it what you do

A store setting asks what you do: make things, provide a service, or both. It changes what you see first, never what you are allowed to use, and you can change it at any time.

A dashboard that opens on Today

Service stores open on Today: how many customers you have, follow-ups that are due, unread texts, and when your last offer went out. Drops and Products step out of the menu. Stores set to both see drop stats alongside due follow-ups.

A simple site at your store address

Your public page becomes a service site with your tagline, a description, your city and state, and your phone number. Nothing to design.

Request a quote or visit

Visitors leave their name, phone number, and a note of up to 500 characters about what they need. The request lands in your customer list with a follow-up due today, so it is waiting on Today when you look. Asking does not opt them in to your texts.

A sign-up box for your texts

The same page has a box where visitors can sign up for your texts, so the list your offers go to grows from your own page.

Questions

Can customers book an appointment?

No. There is no booking, calendar, or appointment slots. A request comes to you as a customer and a follow-up, and you arrange the time with them directly.

Can I still run drops?

Yes. The setting changes what you see first, not what you can use. Choose both if you sell batches as well as your time — your page keeps the storefront, and your dashboard shows drops and due follow-ups.

Can I bill for the work?

Yes. Create an order for the job and mark it fulfilled when you finish. Mark it paid when the customer pays you and they get a receipt. On Pro and Business you can send an invoice with a due date first.
