Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy covers batchdrop.io, the marketing website, and the BatchDrop application. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

If you visit this website

  • Pages you view and how you arrived, through Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Session recordings and interaction heatmaps through Microsoft Clarity — only if you accept performance cookies.
  • Anything you type into a contact, support, or demo form, which we receive by email.

If you run a store on BatchDrop

  • Your name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • Your store details: name, description, location, timezone, and contact information.
  • Your products, drops, and orders.
  • The customer records you create or import, including names, phone numbers, addresses, and any private notes you add.

If you buy from a store on BatchDrop

  • Your phone number, used to sign you in and to send order updates.
  • Your email address, if the store records it, used to send your receipts and invoices.
  • Your orders and their status.
  • Messages between you and the store.

You pay the store directly, outside BatchDrop, so we never see or store your payment details. The store records when your order is paid.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors, each for one job. Which ones see your data depends on whether you are on this website or using the application.

This website

  • Vercel — hosts this website.
  • Amazon Web Services — sends the email generated when you submit a contact, support, demo, or DMCA form on this website, through Amazon SES.
  • Cloudflare — Turnstile, which checks that a form submission on this website comes from a person.
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — website usage, subject to your cookie choices.

The BatchDrop application

  • Hetzner Cloud — hosts the application.
  • Resend — sends transactional email from the application.
  • Stripe — subscription billing for store owners. We never see or store the card number.
  • Twilio — sending and receiving SMS.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Store owners and their customers

If you are a customer of a store using BatchDrop, that store decides what to keep about you and for how long. BatchDrop processes it on their behalf. Requests to see or delete your information should go to the store first; if you cannot reach them, contact us and we will help.

How long we keep it

Store and order records are kept while the account is active and for a period afterwards where tax or accounting rules require it. Form submissions to this website are kept in our email for as long as we need them to answer you. Analytics data follows each provider's own retention period.

Your choices

  • Change or withdraw cookie consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving SMS.
  • Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the GDPR or the CCPA. We honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Children

BatchDrop is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
